About this Class

Following the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, students develop four key language areas: speaking, oral comprehension, reading and writing. Our teaching methodology caters to different types of learners and uses a structured and leveled curriculum based on the textbook Sésame 2 by Hachette FLE.

In this class students develop four key language areas (listening, speaking, reading and writing) with an emphasis on oral communication. Our teaching methodology caters to different types of learners and uses a structured and leveled curriculum based on the textbook Sésame 2 by Hachette FLE.
Students meet and follow the lives of pre-teens from the French-speaking world and progress through fun yet challenging exercises, games and projects that draw from their “multiple intelligences.”
With an emphasis on authentic communication, the class’ task-based approach also helps students develop an understanding of the grammar and spelling of French. Ultimately, our goal is not only to teach students language skills but give them the ability to interpret and navigate the world from different perspectives.
This course is designed for students with experience in French or successful completion of Les Aigles 1. New students: Placement test is required.
