About this Class
In this class, students will use and improve their French through the study of a contemporary award-winning video game.What are the diverse types of video game genres and gaming platforms? What are the various components of a video game console? Where is the video game studied set and how is the unique world depicted in the game? Who are the main characters and what is the relationship among each other? In what way is the game inspired, or not, by real-life events?
This class is open to all students with an A2 level of French or above. Previous experience with video games is not required. Actual gameplay will not take place or be required during this class.
Class objectives include:
-Learn how to speak about video games (consoles, genres, developer, etc.) and components of a gaming console
-Learn how to describe some video game characters and worlds (buildings, landscapes, etc.)
-Express one’s opinion and point of view/make an informed critique
-Review/Learn how to ask questions and give suggestions/commands
New students: take our placement test prior to enrolling in the class.
Returning students: take our placement test if you have not taken a class with us in roughly over a year.
