About this Class
Contes et Nouvelles de MaupassantMaupassant, author of tales, short stories and novels, is a tireless writer. From Toine to Jewels, from Million to Old, this collection is rich in cruel tales, but also in comic stories where the characters, whether peasants or bourgeois, men or women, are alternately liars and naïve, cruel and weak.
Previous French experience is required (see below for placement test information)
Course objectives:
- Improve French communication skills with special emphasis on reading and writing;
- Improve use of present tense verbs, prepositions, adjectives, etc.
- Learn about Maupassant’s life and contributions to French literature and culture;
Homework and active participation are required.
