Part-Time French Language Instructor

Director of Education, Adult Programs Manager, Youth Programs Manager

DESCRIPTION

Are you passionate about French, France and the whole Francophone world? Are you creative and dynamic? Do you have good interpersonal skills and enjoy working with kids, teens and adults? If your answer is yes, join us – and even if you don’t have experience, don’t worry, we'll train you to be the best teacher you can be! The main role of part-time language instructors is to teach on-site and online adult and teens/children's classes. Please note that candidate must be local or able to commute to work.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - in person and remote (including but not limited to)

  • Teaching of group classes in both the adults’ and the children’s sections
  • Teaching of private lessons
  • Administer placement tests
  • Attend all trainings / meetings organized by the Education Department
  • Create, organize and teach thematic workshops/classes

REQUESTED AVAILABILITY

    Our classes are as followed:
  • Fall, Winter, Spring ONLINE: Monday -Thursday from 9:00am to 9:10pm, Friday and Saturday 9:00am – 5pm
    Fall, Winter, Spring IN PERSON: Tuesday – Thursday 9:00 to 7:30pm; Friday 9:00am – 5pm and Saturdays, 9:00am to 4:00pm
    Summer IN PERSON: Monday - Friday (8:45am – 4:30pm) for children's summer program; IN PERSON and ONLINE Monday - Thursday (9:00 to 7:30pm), and Friday (9:00am – 5pm) for adults' section
  • You are requested to work two to four nights per week (5:00pm-9:10pm) and / or on Saturday.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Native or advanced proficiency in French (C1 level desired)
  • Degree in French, FLE (or DAEFLE) or equivalent preferred
  • Must understand and practice full immersion
  • Strong in person and virtual class management skills
