Do you love working with young children and bringing language learning to life? We are looking for part-time classroom assistants to support teachers for our Summer immersion program for children & teens. The ideal candidate can create supportive, fun, and engaging environment for children (ages 3-9 and teens 12-15) to develop their French language skills and broaden their cultural horizons. Assistants will help with themed weekly activities that promote language learning through structured lessons that include games, arts and crafts, music, cooking and light physical activity.Enjoy perks such as complimentary membership to the French Library and a commuter stipend to help support transportation costs.
REQUIREMENTS
- Advanced proficiency in French
- Dynamic, enthusiastic, conscientious, creative, team-player
- Able to develop a rapport with children ages 3-9, colleagues and parents
- Able to provide logistical support to teachers in a children’s class
- Efficient and concise in communication
- Experience working with young children / teens in a classroom, camp, or similar setting.
- Must understand and practice full immersion
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills and ability to resolve conflicts diplomatically
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams) and comfort using technology that supports learning
REQUESTED AVAILABILITY
- Monday - Friday weekly commitment from June 22 to August 28; 8:45am - 4:15pm - whole summer preferred but candidates available for several weeks will also be considered.
COMPENSATION
Part-time position varying between 15-30 hours per week: $17/hourDEADLINE TO APPLY
