Think of this as our “What we did on our summer vacation” post, French-style. Even without our building at 53 Marlborough Street, the Center was a flurry of activity during the back-to-school month of September. Take a look at what we were up to!

The smiling faces of our teachers and Education administrators ready for another year of French with you!

On a sunny morning in September the Center hosted a ciné-stroll, a promenade around Boston’s South End where we alternated stops at famous movie locations and different French-inspired eateries to sample bites of food.

Did you see our September Member Spotlight on our blog? We met Amy Harlowe, who spent an unforgettable year in the Vendée and is an enthusiastic supporter of the Center. Want to meet more members? Check out our other Spotlights here.

Images from our trivia event at La Voile Brookline. Another successful and engaging afternoon!

A few faces from our Petit prix, bonne qualité event on September 22. Chelsea Bell from Gordon’s Wines gave us tips on how to find and taste delicious wines at an approachable price. Santé !

On September 25 the Center hosted students from Tufts and Northeastern for a pique-nique and game time on the Esplanade.
It was a great chance for Francophiles from both sides of the river to practice their French, eat cheese, and connect! Let us know if your group would like to get more involved with the Center!
Members of our staff giving a send-off to our librarian Ingrid Marquardt (pink mask) as she embarks on her new adventure overseas. Bonne chance Ingrid !

September has been a busy month for the Facebook travel club group. Lots of announcements regarding travel overseas and recommendations for places to go and things to do kept our members busy exchanging messages in our special members-only group.

To round out the rentrée we hosted a special tasting with Duvel beers and Belgian cuisine at La Voile Brookline, including moules frites and gaufres de Bruxelles. Miam miam !

How did you celebrate la rentrée with us?
