Yasmina Khadra (1955 - ) est le nom de plume de Mohammed Moulessehoul, un écrivain algérien. Officier dans l’armée algérienne, il a voulu protéger son identité et écrire malgré la censure ; il a donc adopté le nom de sa femme pour ses œuvres.

Après avoir quitté l’armée, il s'est exilé en France et a révélé son identité. Son écriture crée un portrait honnête de la vie et montre la réalité du conflit en Algérie. Son roman Ce que le jour doit à la nuit a été adapté en film.
